Cold Ramen Studio is a boutique post-production house in Kuala Lumpur, founded by editors Onion Kung and Oliver Tan in 2022. With roots in commercial and narrative video, the studio was built on a shared belief: where storytelling meets precision, great editing begins.
Specializing in commercials and branded content, Cold Ramen has worked with clients like MBSB Bank, Maybank, Perodua, Chery, Axiata, and Guardian, while occasionally venturing into TV and social formats.
Though small in size, the team thrives on lean agility, deep collaboration, and obsessive attention to detail. Cold Ramen values clarity over clutter, rhythm over noise, and creativity over convention.
Looking ahead, the studio aims to become a regional creative hub—expanding services, supporting new talent, and crafting unforgettable visual experiences.
Oliver
Founder / Online Artist
Oliver Tan began his journey as a Photographer’s Assistant and steadily evolved into a seasoned Online Artist, shaping campaigns for brands like DuitNow, Perodua, Chery, Cuckoo, and Astro.
With over a decade of experience in visual effects and post-production, Oliver has honed his craft in digital compositing, retouching, and storytelling — known for his precision, creative intuition, and tireless attention to detail.
He thrives in collaborative environments, leading teams to deliver visually bold and emotionally resonant work. Passionate about the evolving digital landscape, Oliver continues to push creative boundaries and shape impactful visual experiences.
Onion
Founder / Offline Editor
Onion Kung began his career as an Assistant Editor and steadily rose to become a Senior Editor, shaping projects for a wide range of commercial clients. With over a decade in the post-production industry, he has honed a keen eye for pacing, narrative flow, and visual storytelling.
Known for his collaborative mindset and obsessive attention to detail, Onion brings each edit to life with clarity, emotion, and rhythm.
He continues to push creative boundaries, driven by a passion for storytelling that connects, resonates, and endures.
